Hi - no, I can see of no reason that you can't open in design mode. Except perhaps that in IP 2003, there was a button you could click to "design this form" and now there is not? I think if you open InfoPath Designer (2010) and under File / Open put in the URL of the template you wish to design, you'd be able to open in design ...

Here's the full detail. I understand the SQL side as SQL 2005 only has a DateTime data type rather than date which will store dates as 2011-11-24T00:00:00. The SharePoint side is a mystery to me.
InfoPath Configuration
Field Name: GoalDate
Date type: Date (date)
Configured as promoted field

There should not be any issues with this. If your IP 2007 form has code, it cannot be sandboxed in ShP 2010, but would require admin approval (just as in ShP 2007). That is the only thing I can think of that would be different than using IP 2010 with ShP 2010.

Hi Jeff-
What does the mapping look like in DAT? There is a Data Type dropdown in the Database tab; I'm curious to see what that is set to. I'd also like to know the column data type in SQL.
SharePoint is another story. Let's check the SQL side first. :-)
Thanks.

No, as far as I know, there is no additional setting necessary. Does this repro for other forms, or just this one? Does the form have code? How is the form being deployed?

Would you be able to attach the XSN via the Options tab when replying?
Thank you.

You should be able to accomplish this with an expression like this:
Condition:
Expression: /path/to/repeating/group[Disapproved = 'true' and ReasonForDisapproval = '']
Disable the control
