I have many word files forms which i would like to export data from to an infopath form that i have already on Sharepoint library. is there is any sort of Macro that i can use to export the data from word to infopath. the regular import won't do good as i need to use the new infopath form layout.

this behaviour is often caused by the so-called 'Postback settings'. By default this is set to 'Only when necessary for correct rendering of the form'. But in many times you have to set it to 'Always'.

Thanks Lockdown that worked; I had the periods there but realized we don't use special characters in account creation. Also I had "or" instead of "and" which threw me off.

You can use rules to do this.
I would recommend 2 rules:
1st: Query your list to make sure your have every new change to it (this can take a while if the list is long, but can be taken out but making sure you can't click the button twice)
2nd: Set some fields value to Formula( max( <list from above>[number appended to julian ...

These should work:
nhxxx = nh[A-Za-z0-9]{3}
vendxxxx = vend[A-Za-z0-9]{4}
ahsnxxxxa = ahsn[A-Za-z0-9]{4}a
If its any character and not alphanumberical just use a "." instead of of [A-Za-z0-9]{4}. So, four periods instead of that.
