Yes, the filename is generated by field valuse but there are not strange characters in there. This is an examle of one that doesn't work anymore: Compromise Agreement for Employer2011-11-18T17_32_43.
All the forms in the library are named using the same method.

Is the filename generated based on field values? Is there any chance it could have any non-allowed punctuation or other characters in it?

I have a form library on Sharepoint where I save my forms. On certain forms, when I try the editing then save, I get the 'The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect' message.
I can't see anything obviously wrong, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Hi RoseMary,
Unfortunately, it's our policy not to write free code for people, because custom code in InfoPath is not a recommended practice, especially for inexperienced coders. I recommend giving qRules a try, but if you want to have a try writing your own code, I can take a look at it for you.

The forms won't open in IP2010 without being 'full trust'. There were two blocks of code, one handling email and the other the 'save as' function. I replaced the email code with rules etc but the only rules I can find to handle the 'save as' require the form to be saved to a fixed location or a Sharepoint ...
