My guess is that you are using Windows 7. On my unit that is running Win7 with I have the same problem but on my other unit running WinXP it works correctly.

Not sure - my post above used the Enter key usage as I displayed in [].
Maybe it's the browser you are using? For me, all my replies auto being with a space at the start I have to delete.
I'm using Firefox.

ah, I'm sorry, I see what you mean now - the space appears in front of the control itself. And yes, I do see that too. Interesting. If I change the control back into a text control then the problem goes away, and if I delete the dash it also stops happening. Put any other character instead of the dash and it happens again.

How do I get a separation between my paragraphs to show up when I post to this forum? All I get is one long paragraph even though I use the enter key when I'm typing it.
I hit the enter key twice to put one line between the sentences above and this one but it does not show.

The forum provides an attachment option when you make a post (though it can be hard to spot).
When posting/replying, look above the text box for the 'Options' tab and inside of it is a button to upload a file attachment.
