I wanted to say thank you for posting this. This worked great in SP 2010 Foundation.

What type of version of SharePoint are you using? For example, SharePoint 2010 (Enteprise) has Access services, which allow for an entire Access application to be uploaded to SharePoint for use. Just curious.

I have seen a similar issue before. It was workflow related for me. Here is how I fixed it:
In SharePoint Designer, open the site where your forms library resides.
File
Inside of Workflow Designer, go through your typical steps (i.e. give it a name, etc). Be sure to check "Automatically start this workflow when a new item is ...

Much appreciated!

I've never tried this before, and it did seem to take a mess of rules. There might be a better way :-) But attached is an example of field that has this behaviour.
It uses SPACE as the word separator and it will fail with an error if there's more than 4-5 spaces in the field. Hopefully this will be enough for most situations.

Well, the command node is always cleared after the command runs, so you wouldn't see a value there. For this command, the error node should return any error that is returned to the data connection when it is executed, but it sounds like this issue doesn't actually return an error from the data connection.

Yes, it was blank. Current was view 1. I did a pause after the bad command, but it showed no info. I did get it figured out. But I would love to figure out why the command didn't appear and why the error node was blank.

Did you check the qRules Error node?
