Was the form domain-trust before? If so, try adding the website to your Intranet sites and see if this makes a difference.

Hi Glebur,
Great question and very eloquently stated. You will have to create some mechanism to identify which images, etc. came from the XML file so that subsequent edits can overwrite them. In a database, this is easy to do using a key. If you are shredding your XML to a database then uni-directionality should not be a problem unless someone ...

Hi Marie,
Yes, that would make sense. With your own XML schema you have more options. Check out our free evaluation version of the Database Accelerator which allows you to map your form to a SQL database without having to rely on the relational schema. This might be an interesting pattern if you are just starting and don't have data in your ...

Hi absMing,
I'm not sure I understand. If you write code, you can do whatever you want. In general, best practice is to map your form's main data source to one primary table. You can have multiple foreign key table updates too, but mapping a main data source to multiple tables is a non-standard practice and will cause you grief.

Default import will add rows to a repeating section if the schema is the same. Custom import can define adding rows to the main data source's schema too. Very powerful tool that noone knows about. Good luck!

Hi John,
The big issue is in mapping to the database and keeping data type fidelity. The Database Accelerator solves both problems by allowing the mapping to be done in data and it roundtrips a blob to preserve full data type. In essence, it is exporting the data to SQL tables using the defined mapping but allowing the client to load and save ...

Sounds like you just need a reverse index. The problem with the last dropdown will be the number of items in it. But, anyway, just create a reverse index to set the others. You already have an index to allow cascading from 1 to 2 to 3 and 4. So, for 4, just create a flat index of the values that it corresponds to (you can use a secondary DOM for ...

I like the second option, but you don't need to attach code. Just define rules to print and then change a sentinel field's value and follow the rest of Matt's explanation. No code required!

Why not do this in the taskpane using typical HTML password controls?

Hi Marie and welcome to our forum,
Can you change your data source so that there is repeat grouping in your detail section? Just add a group node and then move the detail section below it and make it repeating. Then, you can add new sections without adding the master part. Hope this helps,
