  • Re: Custom Code revert

Hello tberch, Adding custom code is enough to break qRules.  When this happens, the following steps should be enough: Click the remove code button Save and close the form Re-inject qRules Have you tried carrying out all of those actions, in that order?

  • Custom Code revert

Ive accidentally clicked on the custom code option under my submit button a few times, and when I revert it by removing the code in the options, it seems to break qrules. Ive tried to re-inject the qrules code, but its still broken. What do I do to make my form work again after this?

  • Re: Form opens when clicking XSN, but not when clicking link to xsn

Hi there, Using a link to the template URL will give it slightly different behavior than clicking on the template itself.  SharePoint does some behind the scenes work that you're not aware of.  Are you trying to open the XSN in the client or browser?  Assuming you want to open the form in the browser, an easier method would be ...

  • Re: GenerateRandomNumber as my ID

Are you setting this ID as a default value?  If so, then it might be because you have the refresh value checkbox selected which recalculates the value each time the form is loaded.  Make sure its unchecked and it will only be set the first time the form loads.  You can find this checkbox in the field properties dialog.  See ...

  • Active Directory lookups in Web Browser

I need to be able to query the AD user from the browser, in my infopath form. Is there another method than the GetMyAdInfo method so that I can retrieve the logged in user and their associated groups? I do not want to require my users to use infopath, so that isnt an option for this solution.

  • Re: drop down list box with links to forms

Hi Bob, You're right that buttons don't launch URLs so that won't help you in your scenario.  You can still use a dynamic hyperlink to accomplish what you need.  If you go to the Insert tab and click Hyperlink, you can specify the display name and URL of a hyperlink.  The value of the dropdowns can be the URL itself or ...
