Hi Shiraz,
For a month of using InfoPath it seems like you are off to a great start! This is a little complicated. If the database is setup as a secondary data source then you should add a rule to the address drop-down that sets the value of queryFields/tenantId to the value of the dropdown, then add another rule that requieres the database ...

Hi bala,
What version of InfoPath are you using? A quick search turned up this post with the same error message, but I don't know how pertinant it is since you said your template is domain trust:http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=362

I think the only way to do this is to use a web service as submitting back to a database requires that you derive the Main DOM schema from the database. So, you'll create a web service with one method GetNumber() and this web service will use a data store( XML or database) to keep track of the current number to be used, and then increment this by ...

Hi Dazed and Confused,
Ok, now I understand. what you need is a filter. The syntax is going to be a little difficult because I don't know exactly how you have the ListOne implemented. When you choose what appears in ListTwo you should be able to click ''Filter Data'' and specify that only the rows where checked = true should populate the ...

Hey Jack,
I think you are just getting a syntax error here, can you post the code an errors you are seeing? Patrick was saying that you cannot access the values of a drop-down if you hardcode them in the designer, but if they are populated from a secondary data source it is trivial to retrieve the values and we do it all the time.

Hi Bill,
Is the other section an optional section that you are trying to physically insert into the XML, or is it a regular section that you want to show/hide via conditional formatting? The second should be pretty easy and you can just hide the section when the ''certain conditions'' are false. Once this is setup you could just always populate ...

I'm sure you have to include some references to the correct libraries to get this to work. I could help you with these references if you were doing this with managed code, but I'm not sure exactly how to do this with JScript or if it's even possible. Consider switching to C#.

Hi eng. Nagy Ferenc, and welcome to the forums!
I haven't worked with VBScript a lot, but you should be able to change your code to the below. I don't think you need a namespace manager when working with InfoPath.
Dim Node As System.Xml.XmlNode = m_xmld.DocumentElement.SelectSingleNode(''my:fTotal'')
If Not Node Is Nothing Then
cell6.Value = ...

Your form is using JScript for its codebehind but the sample was given in VBScript. You'll have to either convert your form or the sample, which depends on how comfortable you are with either language.
To convert the form, go to Tools -> Form Options -> Advanced -> Form code language = VBScript

Hey troy0118,
You should be able to store the password in the data connection - I think there is a checkbox to make it do this. However, this is insecure. If you switch to SQL Server (instead of Access) you can use our DBXL product to pull rows out of the database through a web service which means that there will be no security breaches.
