Thanks Patrick :),
Basically I did not want to have too many data connections in the infopath forms.
Because there will be separate connection for each drop down list, I wanted to use only one list to avoid multiple connections.
I just wanted to confirm that the best way to fill drop downs from the sharepoint lists is to have separate ...

Hi Rahul and congratulations on exceeding 50 posts on InfoPathDev!
This is one of the limitations of using SharePoint Lists as if they were database tables. Each list can represent a table but you can't have repeating structures within a row for that list. InfoPath won't parse out the values as separate XML items.

Hi Murthy,
Just to be sure we are understanding you, can you add an image of the error you are getting?

Hi William.Ru,
I seem to recall that we developed a clever sample for this in the past but now I can't find it. Filtering doesn't work here because you need to compare against previously selected items. You could write code to do some kind of IsMember check but there is a simpler way. Basically, you just need to set "selected" ...

Hi Patrick and thanks for responding to my post.

Hi Red53Magoo,
When you publish as new content types you should have the option on one of the dialogs in the publish wizard to associate the promoted properties with the new site columns. You might also look into the Promoted Properties dialog on the File->Form Options->Promoted Properties dialog.
Good luck,

Hi CaroleB,
This is a very commonly requested feature that is not available in InfoPath out-of-the-box.
I responded to your other post explaining that you'll need to write some code to do this or use our qRules common library.
Please take a look and let us know how can help.

Hi Olsen9 and welcome,
Good issue. We have often thought about adding some functions to qRules to handle conversion. Maybe we will in the future. In the meantime, you wilol have to write some code using .NET to get the current timezone and do the conversion. I suggest going to MSDN and searching for some .NET code.
If you'd like to have one ...

Hi Doreen,
You don't necesarily need to write any code to do this. You can just add rules and actions to set all of the fields in your form when the user clicks a button called Reset. It will take you some time to set these up (especially if you have a lot of fields), and you will have to do it separately for each form template you develop, ...
