SPS can do this. You have to do some special stuff to make it happen but it is doable. We have a solution that uses search. However, we also chose to provide an InfoPath form that searches the form library since we had more control over it. SPS search wasn't configurable enough for our solution requirements.
Attachments is a bigger issue. Don't ...

Hi Mike,
Sweet solution you've got! This is very similar to what we did with the Database Accelerator. We even use an InfoPath form to configure the shredding. Unlike you we save the XML blob to the DB for data fidelity and use Web parts on SharePoint to view the data. We used to have SharePoint forms and the database but had synch issues when ...

Hi Fred,
What is the data flow of your solution? You have InfoPath submitting to an XML Web service. How is SharePoint involved? I need to understand what you are trying to do before I can understand the question.

To submit to SharePoint's SQL directly, you will either have to a) write code, or b) use a third party tool (like our Database Accelerator Web ...

Hi AbsMing,
You can't do Submit in the OnBeforeChange handler since the XML has not yet been updated with the value. Try moving it to the OnAfterChange handler.
