Hi BobSka and welcome to our forum!
You will have to write code to submit data from 2DS (secondary data source) to a DB. An alternative is to create main data source nodes for them and copy them. Not sure why you would want to save 2DS data. If it's save-worthy it should be in the main data source, no?

Hi Mika,
When you create a new form, there is an option to create a form from a Web service. This will allow you to do both submit and retrieve.

In the InfoPath Designer, go to Tools->Data Connections->Add. Select Submit; click Next. Select To a Web service; click Next. Specify URL for Web service and select Method; Next. Now choose your parameter. Good luck!

Hi Ty and welcome to our forum,
Open the Form Template in the Designer, go to site, click Modify Settngs and Columns, and Edit Template. Once the form is open, go to Tools->Form Options->Form Library Columns. Add your newly added items. Re-save the form (ctrl-s) or File-Save. Close the form. You should be in business!

Domain Trust is the default, so not sure why it is set to Restricted - ...

Anders - great post! Thanks for the info.
I think the best fix in SP2 is the dreaded DOM Event Handler issue where DOM Event Handlers were stripped out of solutions with managed code in certain instances depending on interaction between Visual Studio and InfoPath Designer.
The other important issues we have found in the last year have been IE ...

Hi Dave,
Sure thing. You can do this with Rules or with Code. For the Rules approach double click on the type selection and go to Rules. Define a rule to set a field's value (in this case the revised total field). Then, you can use XPath to sum the values in your table and multiple by 0.75 or whatever. You may also want to add the same rule to ...

The data connection wizard (for submit to Web service) should have the option of specifying the textbox that you want to send as a paramater. Did you try the wizard?

Hi Alex,
We're incredibly busy right now. The AD Web service doesn't work well across domains. You could probably set up some trust relationship between the domains but you might still have issues.
Glad to hear that the GetUserInfo method works well.
