• Re: Loading an existing form

Hi yyliu, One probable solution here is to query the data uing the Work Order Number. Next is to set up a rule that loads all the other fields with the condtion: Number of occurences of row is greater than 0. What this rule rule does is that it checks if there is a matching data for the Work Order Number. If the Query does not return any ...

  • Re: how to create dynamic fields?

Hi exose, Welcome to InfoPathDev. To my understanding, you want to create fields that are dependent on other fields, but I am not quite sure yet on what you are trying to achieve. Would you be able to provide more details? like is this a cascading drop-down field which queries data depending on the selection from the other drop-down ...

  • Re: Submit existing form fields to a sharepoint list

Hi YK, Thank you for clarifying the issue. The issue here may perhaps be with your CAML set up, but since I'm not sur how you have it set up, I am unable to directly pinpoint what is causing the problem. So I am instead attaching a modified form which submits data from one list to another. Hope this helps.

  • Re: set Default Values in repeating table infopath

Hi Victor, I'm not quite sure yet what you are trying to achieve, but if you are simply setting a default value of a repeating table on your form, in SharePoint 2010, please proceed to the Data Tab, and click on Default Values. If your form has a repeating table in it, you should find something similar to this: Right click on the repeating ...

  • Re: Repeating table limitations

Hi snturner, As far as I know, there is actually no maximum limit defined is unbounded which means you can pretty much enter as many records as you like, but in reality there is always some limit. As your page size grows, at somepoint you may get performance issues / unresponsive page or exceptions. Another problem which you should consider when ...

  • Re: Buttons

Hi Captain78, Welcome to InfoPathDev. I'm attaching a sample form with rules which sets a field's value and has a formatting rule which hides its self if a certain condition has been met. Please check the button rules on the form and let me know if this approach works for you. Regards,

  • Re: Limiting Dates in Date Picker

Hi ander2cc, Welcome to InfoPathDev. I would suggest adding a Validation Rule where the condition is EndDate < addDays(StartDate, 3), then set a Screen Tip message. This would prevent the user from selecting days prior to the start date and less than three days after the start date by showing a validation error. Please let me know if ...

  • Re: Submit existing form fields to a sharepoint list

Hi YK, I am lost with what you are trying to achieve here. I created the select field so that I would be able to select an Item to update, since on your previous post there is a record for John with the Age of 23, and you want to update John's age to 24. I'm not understanding how you want it updated without using the current ID of the ...

  • Re: Building a dynamic form based off dropbox selection

Hi Adam, Welcome to InfoPathDev. Hiding specific fields in InfoPath doesn't need complex coding, in InfoPath 2010, all you need to do is add a formatting rule (under the Home tab, click Manage Rules) to the field or section you wish to hide. Next, add the desired condition for the drop-down list field, then tick the hide this control ...

  • Re: send data repeating table to list

Hi Victor, There are several ways to submit repeating data to a SharePoint list, and here is one guide using CAML approach. But if you would like to avoid writing code, you may want to check out qRules' SubmitToSharePointList command, and here's a short video. Hope this helps.
