• Re: qRules and Web Forms: Erratic Behaviour?

You've asked some good questions above that I want to address. The admin option is for a few very specific qRules commands - like SubmitAsUser, for example. There is no need to select that option unless you are going to use commands that require it. In general, I suggest always using browser / sandbox, even in a Filler form, unless you are ...

When you re-injected the form, did you select Browser > Sandbox? or did you select the Admin version? any info in the SharePoint log files? When you were using the trial, were you also using it from the SharePoint page? Do you have a copy of the form prior to re-injecting with the full version?

You added the execution history like I suggested to see if qRules is returning any errors? Are these submit rules? If so, you may want to try using a regular rules button (not a "submit" button, you can still label it submit of course) instead - I think I've had inconsistent behavior when using qRules commands in Submit rules.

You need to copy out that GUID from your error and go check your SharePoint logs for that.

  • Re: Migrating from the trial version of qRules

Once I started using SharePoint Management Shell for this, I never looked back to Central Admin, that's for sure. I have learned to loathe it. :) So, on your server, find SharePoint Management Shell, right click and run as admin. Give it a minute to figure out what it is doing. Here's a reference for some of the ...

Okay, this sounds like an environmental issue then... Have you tried deactivating prior to upload, then reactivating after? Do you have server access, or just use central admin on your local machine? I use PowerShell for uploading templates, so much less painful, and I'm happy to share info on that if you have server access - it would probably ...

Hey again - so yeah, I've never had this issue, with the form not updating when I upload a new version to central admin. Make sure any controls that execute qRules commands have post back set to always. You can also add the QdabraRules execution history somewhere on your form (we usually use a hidden "debug" view) so you can see if ...

I'm not sure what you mean by republish and upload. Is this an admin deployed browser form? If so, yes, publishing involves re-uploading the template to central admin. Otherwise, generally, you simply re-inject the form, and republish it to the library (or content type, if you are using content types).

  • Re: DETAILED WORK LOG

Who will be tracking this data? Was the thought that each person would fill out a form when they created a presentation? Where would they submit the data to? If you aren't going to use SharePoint, maybe you could have the form set up to submit to a SQL or an Access DB? I mean, the short answer to your question as to whether IP can be used to ...

  • Re: DETAILED WORK LOG

Does someone fill this form out each time they create a presentation? Short answer is - yes, InfoPath would work well for this - but you could also just use a SharePoint list and use views for your various reports. Your data sounds like it is not very complex.... Personally? I'd probably use a SharePoint library for this - they can ...
