Add a field to your form that gets set with the initial time stamp.
Make this field read-only when the form is in the other states (using conditional formatting)
Promote this field to SharePoint
Change your default view to include this field and exclude the default Creation Date or Modified field.

Interesting! Thanks for the post. We need a separate area for K2 integration.

Well, it doesn't fire until after you click out of the field. Alt+S doesn't do it since it just fires the special button code (but doesn't change focus). You need to call SetContext or something.
This is a good loophole, but in my mind, it's by design.

Hi Mipe,
Correct, this is a limitation. My suggestion would be to add some guidance text (static label) to the form to tell people what to do. The other possibility is to use links instead of inline attachments (this will actuall reduce the size of your XML forms too).

Hi Thierry,
Sorry for our long vacation. Hey, can you post repro steps? We can verify that this was the same or not on SP1 before bugging Microsoft about it.

You may have two data connections tied to your custom submit button, but I need more information. Are you using a custom button or the default submit button? Do you have rules on these ...

Hi Matt,
So you can do dynamic data in a header that appears on every page? I thought this was impossible. If you have a solution, you have figured something out that nobody else ever has. Printing the header on the first page is easy, but on every page?
The layout code workaround in JScript is very interesting. In fact, it's so interesting ...

Hi Fred,
IP XML has a diffgram format? Where did you hear that? The property promotion doesn't. But, maybe I'm missing something. Check out the xpath in your manifest.xsf and see what it is *really* promoting. The XSF has a section for the columns promoted to SharePoint and under that section is the xpath and aggregation function (for example, ...

Are escaped backslashes required for database connection strings?
