• Re: Designer workflow vs. InfoPath Code to send Email

I've done it both ways, but lately I've setteled on handling the approval workflow inside of InfoPath. I find I can control it better than a SP workflow.  One of the ways to accomplish this is to use muitlple views for the approval. Additionally, I use a view to construct/customize the email message. When the user approves, I have ...

  • Add task link in InfoPath Form

Greetings, I have a form that is more or less a status screen for a workflow process.  In the process the users are assigned tasks.  When I look at the task list in SharePoint I see that the "Title" field says something like "Workflow Task" and it is clickable to open the acutall task.  I'm using Odata ...

  • Re: Need Help with OnBaording Project

I've seen / recieved emails in the past saying to sign up for a webinar, event etc... at the bottom of the email is a link that opens a calendar item and you can just hit save and it's in your calendar.  I thought this was very clever and thought I would look into how people were doing that.  Of course everyone else wants me to ...

  • Re: Can an Infopath form create a Document Set.

I had a similar situation where I wanted to be able to create a custom set of documents from a SharePoint Records Center site. The goal was to be able to construct a list of documents constructed from a variety of different filtered results.  What I ended up doing was creating an InfoPath form to store the document references in a repeating ...

  • Re: qRules Command - DeleteFromSharePoint throwing security related error
Would you be able to attach that simple, test form to your next reply? (You can attach via the Options tab). We'd like to take a look. Thank you.
I have attached the form.  Here is the error message displayed in the form:  Action: DeleteFromSharePoint. Arguments: url: ...

  • Re: Can I do this with ADWS?

This is exactly what I needed, info on how to use the filter field. I was able to add the MaxResultItems parameter to increase the returned items to 1000 for our environment. I was also able to filter Department=<department name> successfully. Another bit of playing around and finding the right AD attribute to query, and I've got it ...
  • Re: InfoPath form 600+ fields and Property Promotion to SharePoint list

Thank you for your response! I am up for it or at least looking into it! How hard is it?  Could you point me in the right direction on how to do that?

  • Buggy Repeating Table, Attempting to Pull Fields from SharePoint 2010

Hello everyone, Goal:  I'm trying to store 'templates' of information on SharePoint so that my user doesn't have to fill out the same fields over and over again for a form I am building with InfoPath.  The idea is that they can pre-define their fill-outs in SharePoint, and then choose them from a drop down in ...

  • Re: Using InfoPath form Template in dotNet WindowsForm Application

We sell a tool that does this. If you want to build your own - you should be able to load the Excel data as a datatable or dataset, I'd imagine, then loop through it to create your XML files. HTTP Put could be used to upload the files to SharePoint, and you'll want to be sure to include the InfoPath processing instructions in ...

  • Re: export fields from form to .csv

You can export your form to Excel in the file menu.  Otherwise, there isn't an out of box way using rules or workflow that I'm aware of that can do this.  Apparently there is an Excel ActiveX that will let you do this programatically, though I myself don't know too much about it.
