Is this form used in Filler or the Browser? If filler, just use a message box action. If the browser, you could always add a field to the form's data source for your submit message and then, as part of the submit logic, after the form has submitted, set the value to "Your form has submitted successfully" or whatever. If you set the ...

Yes - it isn't really a join, but you could have a calculated value that looks up the Employee Name from data connection B by employee number. When you add a calculated value, you could select Employee Name from B, and click the filter button, and select the row where the employee id is equal to the one in data connection A. Feel free to ...

Well, you could use an XML data source. But if the only option is Material in some cases, I'd use a rule to set fieldB to Material and just hide the dropdown all together and display a calculated value. See attached sample. Right click and save the file locally, right click the saved file and select design. Preview, select Option B in the ...

So - you need the date the item was checked in? I.e. via the SharePoint check in / check out functionality? Not like an action the user takes inside the form? I'm wondering if one of the SharePoint web services might have that... I'm thinking about version information, specifically. I haven't used Check out / Check in much - does that ...

Well, here's a copy with the rule change on the repeating table. I also changed both your formatting rules to just color the rows rather than hide them, so you can see what's happening a little better - you can change that back once the formatting is correct. I don't understand the difference between the two total columns - the last ...

Perhaps add another column that doesn't have change history on it, and when the user enters a value in Next Steps, set this other column to that value. Then you will always have the last text entered in the field? And hopefully that would be included when exporting to Excel?

I'll try to upload a copy w/ changes tomorrow. I do see on the repeating table formatting you are comparing title to category in the preceding-sibling condition - that would be why they are all hiding.

Wonderful - glad you got it working!

So - if the data row is showing, that means the issue is with the rule with the filter. You might try setting that data connection to sort by ID descending (you can do this when you walk through the data connection wizard) and then unless this is a super high-traffic form, the first item returned would always be the most recent form ID - then you ...
