• Re: Multiple Selection List box

    Hi Jared, I'm not sure on your schema, but you should probably change this line: var objProblemItems = objDOM.selectNodes(''/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/dfs:StoreRepairsList/@CatagoryFromList''); to something like this: var objProblemItems = objDOM.selectNodes(''/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/dfs:StoreRepairsList[@Selected = ...

  • Re: Go through

    Hi mschoum and welcome to the forums! I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to do but it seems like you are trying to numerically order all of your forms as they are opened. In general this is a tough problem to solve and we have talked about it several times on the forum - try out the search feature. Otherwise, you might want to try our ...

  • Re: InfoPath Error when submitting to a Web Service

    Hi chowyunli, You know we have a webservice that does exactly what you are trying to do generically that is available for free download: http://www.qdabra.com/proddetail.asp?prod=QDBXL1 If you still want to go with yours though, why don't you just hook up the debugger to the web service and step through the call? To do this, open the ...

  • Re: INFOPATH 2007 SwitchView in XmlFormView Aspx Page

    You cannot use this method to switch views in OnLoad. To switch views in this event handler you have to set the default view of the form, then when OnLoad finishes that view will be displayed. I'm not sure of the exact syntax of this command but it should be something like: XmlFormView1.XmlForm.ViewInfos[''Approver1''].IsDefault = true;

  • Re: Topaz signature pad

    Hi Jesse, If your Access database is the Main DOM it will be very similiar, but you must simply change the XPath to something like ''/dfs:myFields/dfs:queryFields/ns1:Signature''. You have to look at the data source taskpane to do this. If the database is on the secondary dom, then you will have to setup an object to reference it. Check out ...

  • Re: Binding non-repeating data to a repeating table

    Hi Art, There are a couple of ways to do this: 1. Write code in your Submit button that does the copying. 2. Put a rule on each of the Shipping nodes that ''If count(following-sibling::my:ShipppingNode) > 0 and count(preceding-sibling::my:ShipppingNode) = 0'' THEN ''Set a field's value (..//my:ShippingNode[position() > 1]/my:Address) = ...

  • Re: Master Detail table problem

    Hi Mancha, This is an interesting scenario and although I have not tested what I am about to tell you, I think it should work. The top table will just be a regular table listing all of the RecipeSets. The next table will be a Master Table (with the third table as detail), but it will also have a Filter on it such that ''Display when ../Type = ...

  • Re: disabling a button

    Hi Jason, We have used this technique before and it is very easy and works well, but please note that it is *not* secure. All a user has to do is open the XML in notepad, change a ''true'' to ''false'' and they will be able to make edits. Depending on the situation, you might want to look into digital signatures for the form for the utmost in ...

  • Re: Clearing out sourc code fields not used

    Hi Lou, Schema cleanup is always a pain, so you've just got to live and learn on that one. One other suggestion is to create a brand new form with a pristine schema and then port over all of your design and code. This takes a little bit of time, but it is WELL worth the savings in maintainability. Plus, you get the pride and joy of having an ...

  • Re: Problems creating CAB files

    Hi Alexander, Are you actually seeing a problem or just concerned about the filesize differences? We have run across this ourselves because we do a lot of uncabbing and recabbing with the CabDotNet library. Apparently InfoPath uses a less effecient compression algorithm to make a CAB file and this is why the package will be a different size. ...
