Hi Dan,
I wouldn't use SharePoint for this since it will be a configuration nightmare (what happens when an employee changes managers, etc.). I'd use a Web service and SQL (or just do e-mail for now). We have a Web service (Database Accelerator) that supports easy connection to a SQL database. We have some limited roles-support now and are adding ...

Hi Tazzmann67 and welcome to our forum!
Do you have any code on your OnSubmitRequest event handler? If so, it might be returning FALSE which I think tells InfoPath to display this message. The SDK (see Resources) has info on the OnSubmitRequest event handler.

Hi Wt1024,
Why does it need to refresh? It should be refreshed since the main DOM's data doesn't change as a result of submit.

Hi John,
I don't think this functionality is exposed in the object model. You'll want to review the SDK, but I'm 90% sure.

Hi ContractOne,
I think you are better off using a relational database. You could do this with SPS but the reporting will be a lot of work as you will have to create logic to traverse all of the sub-sites. Just use a database.

Hi ContractOne,
Have you tried installing our Database Accelerator? It's a Web service that many people have downloaded and deployed to ease integration of InfoPath forms with SQL databases. Go to Downloads->Free and click on the links.
