Hi, You'll need to go to the Form Library Settings > Advanced settings, and set the library to use Content Types. You'll publish your forms via admin deploy, activate them to your site via Central Admin, and then add the Content Types to your form library (under Form library settings as well). Typically position() is used with no arguments, but I think there's a high likelyhood that it won't be of any help in this situation, no matter how you use it.  Though it will make the formula even uglier, I think Anson's preceding-sibling:: suggestion is probably the way to go.
