  • Re: Diffgram

Well, it's just software. You could do it if you want in code ... :) InfoPath handles some ADO.NET diffgrams. For offline diffgramming via code, here's my advice... write an OnBeforeChange event handler that copies the node to be changed. Write an OnAfterChange handler that copies the change and executes some logic to create a delta track. In ...

  • Re: Help w/ InfoPath on the web to Form Library

Hi John, There are at least 3 products out there - see Resources for links. UniqueWorld has a good product called InfoView that will create ASPX forms from your InfoPath form. There is a company in Korea that sells an ActiveX control for InfoPath forms. And, we sell a an ISAPI filter and extension that render the forms in a browser and support ...

  • Re: Timecard

Hi JDougal, You can easily remove the Attendance Reporting from the view, but the data source for the Timecard (detailed) is designed around a single week, so adding a 2nd week would be much more difficult (requiring changing the data source, logic and UI changes to copy the current week control and rebind all elements to the 2nd week's data ...

  • Re: VB Script

Hi Bashira, You don't want to e-mail the whole form, just vertain fields. Is that correct? You can use the data connection wizard to configure a button to send to different people depending on an XPath rule. However, to restrict the fields sent is harder (=as InfoPath assumes that you will always send the entire XML. You can choose to not attach ...

Hi Leon, This is filtering. Check out the HowTo articles. There should be a bunch describing how to do this.
  • Re: Add Sharepoint List Items with InfoPath

Hi Waynester, Thanks for the link! Hi Melissa, Dates are special because the SQL type (SharePoint) is different from the XML type (XSD, or InfoPath). You'll have to conver the XSD ones into a string that matches the SQL ones and try promoting that. May or may not work. I'm not sure if chapter 9 [edit: in Patrick Halsteads book ''Developing ...

  • Re: How to disable remove forms action from sharepoint

Hi Fred, You could make the form library read-only for everyone. Or you could hide the column with the dropdown that allows them to remove it and force them to click on the infopath icon instead to open the form.

  • Re: Infopath error on server

This is really bizarre. Can you open a form published locally? What version of SharePoint do you have? Can you save the template.xsn file to your desktop and try double clicking on it? What happens? If you get the same error, rename it as a cab and use winzip to extract the files. Open the xsf and make sure it is well-formed XML.

  • Re: Infopath error on server

Hi Lisa, This is happening because the XSF failed to upload properly to SharePoint. To fix this problem, you should just go the the SharePoint form library. Click modify settings and columns. Click on Edit Template to open the form in the InfoPath Designer. No, add a space somewhere in the view and delete it - to make save update. Type ctrl-S to ...
