Hi Mark and welcome to our forum,
If the form is saved to SharePoint via the out-of-box submit to SharePoint data adapter then it is possible for someoone to save the file to their desktop (from SharePoint) and edit the XML file in notepad to change the data.
There are several ways to get around this. First, you can use digital signatures - we ...

Sounds like an InfoPath bug. You could extract the files from the solution and then open up the view xsl with the larger print margins and reset them. Or, you could just open up the manifest.xsf and manually delete the offending view. There may also be some other print settings in the manifest that need to be expunged.

Hi wt1024,
You'll have to use SharePoint list adapter. Get the name of the file to import into your new form and then use a DAV adapter to load the file in to a secondary data source and copy the data over (using rules, import, or code). Hope this helps.

Did you create a printing view and then forget to copy over the controls?

Hi Karsten,
Do you have code in your InfoPath form? Is it .NET or script? If it is .NET you need an interop assembly for MSHTML. Otherwise, you should be able to get the object for the taskpane from the InfoPath OM and do some stuff to it.

Hi Sagiw and welcome to our forum!
Sounds like you have a ''work on behalf'' role. Yes, it should be possible to create and use a digital certificate for that purpose. Do you have Certification Authority? Does your org allow creation of digital certificates by employees?

Hi Deb,
Hmmm. Looks like the user doesn't have full rights. Is the InfoPath form on the same server as the Contacts2 list? What is the security level for the form? (in Designer, go to Tools->Form Options->Security)

Hi Luis and welcome to our forum!
You can add some managed code to set a text value to System.Username or you can buy our AD Web service and add a data connection to the GetMyInfo web method and set the value to a text field that is saved to SQL as a value of one of your database columns. Good luck!

Hi BSlaght,
Great to hear that you have been using for 5 months. This is an error due to security in InfoPath preview mode. InfoPath preview mode is special since it has to run local and local is more restricted than domain (but less than ''restricted'' mode). It's a bit complicated to explain and chapter 6 tries to explain this more in detail. ...

Hi 10pitus82 and welcome to our forum!
If the Web service accepts a dataset you should be able to add a new submit data connection via Tools->Data Connection and do that. Another idea is to hack the manifest to support a read-write data connection with a schema that you define. This has been done. Good luck!
