Here's a similar thread started by user "agoodwin" who seems to have resolved his issue. Perhaps you can get assistance from him:

If you get a chance to diff the old and new connections to see what changed, I'd love to know about it. It seems like this comes up fairly frequently lately.
I've also seen a few people withthe f(clean) statement in their data connection XML. I wonder where that comes from?

You cannot programmatically get at anything in the view... however, since the section uses conditional formatting, there is some formula it is using to decide whether it is hidden. You can use this same formula in your code to decide whether the section is hidden. Make sense?
If the formula is too complex, then you might be able to add another ...

I mentioned this in a different post, but never heard back whether it did anything...
f(clean); seems to be out of place here. I don't have it in my data connection. I'm not sure where it come from or what it does. Try removing it and reuploading your udcx file to see if that makes a difference. Let us know the results.

Thanks for the further ideas, David! So when you say "block" do you mean that once this is hit, it effectively prevents access to the undo stack at that point? If so, and you want to completely disable undo, would you need to add this code for every node in the form, or could you do it once at the root node (on account of event bubble ...

Good thought! Thanks David!

Yeah, that bites a lot of people. I made a request to the InfoPath team to default to no border and zeros for margin and padding, but they wouldn't go for it. So, you just have to make sure you fix those every time you insert a new section. It's the first thing I do.

Glad that you got it figured out and working! It starts to get fun once it all comes together. Not that you won't have challenging tasks and big struggles, but it's still fun!
