Hi all, This question is a bit simpler than my normal ones. I was wondering if there is a way to use a picture or picture control to switch views. The buttons that are offered in InfoPath are pretty limited in the cosmetic realm. I have some nice pictures for Help and Email, etc. that I would like to use in the form instead of ... Posted to Controls (Forum) by Patrick on 07-11-2008 Re: NaN Error, Calculating default value I finally got it! It was the weirdest thing. I have my data in an SQL server and the pieces of data that were being pulled into the Discount boxes were set to "float" in SQL. I compared the values that were causing the error with the values that had no error and found that the "errored" data had one more digit ... Posted to General (Forum) by Patrick on 07-09-2008 Re: NaN Error, Calculating default value Hi, Thanks for your response. I am using IP 2007 and I looked in Form Options and found that the box is checked. Also, ListPrice and Discount have values in them. This is a strange one... I'm going to delete the fields and recreate them for a fresh look. I'll post what happens. In the meantime, ... Posted to General (Forum) by Patrick on 07-09-2008 NaN Error, Calculating default value Ok, this is a strange one. I hope I'm just overlooking something. I have 3 fields in each row of a table (non-repeating). There are many rows, and the fields are ListPrice, Discount, and FinalPrice. Of my many rows, the FinalPrice fields has the same formula, but they reference their respective ListPrice and ... The way I set it up is to have a Microsoft Office Data Connection file on a shared drive. This points to the SQL server and supplies an authenticated password for the "SQL User" account specifically made for this project. Then I set ... I have been thinking about how to make this work a bit faster. Clay suggested I take a look at using a web service to pull my data, but unfortunately I have to exclude that option for this portion (but it's still a great way to receive data!). To reiterate, I have many lists that I ... Posted to General (Forum) by Patrick on 06-25-2008 Re: Decrease the time it takes for a form to open in SharePoint As always, thanks Clay, for taking the time to help me out. I think you're right about the web services portion. The load time of the form is becoming a bit unbearable. I have other SharePoint lists that I am loading as well, which doesn't help. I have been using a web service for data retrieval on a different ... Posted to General (Forum) by Patrick on 06-23-2008 Decrease the time it takes for a form to open in SharePoint Hi all, I did some searching, but couldn't find anything on this topic. I have an InfoPath form that is growing in size. It is being hosted on a SharePoint site and has multiple data connections to SharePoint lists, two of which are near or exceed 10000 rows (with many columns). This is causing the form to take a ... I was out of the country for a while, so I just got a chance to look at this. The concat formula you replied with...do I type that when the "Edit XPath (advanced)" is checked? or does it not matter? I tried typing that in and here's what it looks like in the formula ... Posted to Controls (Forum) by Patrick on 06-17-2008 Setting the default value of a text box to be the "Display name" from a drop down list box Hi, I have a situation in which I hope there's a simple solution... I have a few controls, 2 text boxes and 2 drop down list boxes. The drop downs are receiving their entries from 2 SharePoint Lists and have different columns feeding the "Display name" and "Value" properties in each. DDL1: Linked to ...
