• Re: Design checker warnings that prevent using a web form

Thanks! After I removed all the "Placeholder text unsupported" errors I suddenly found about 100 "Unsupported HTML" errors. I went through and fixed a number of them and then the form published as a web form without a problem. Very odd! Other issues to deal with now. Thanks for your help!

  • Pre-populating a person picker with current user in a web form

I have a web based form that *should* pre populate a people picker with the author name when the form is initially opened. Works great in the filler and in preview. Wondering if there are any commonly known issues with the person/group picker and populating it in a web form. It works by doing the following: -Data connection for ...

  • Re: Design checker warnings that prevent using a web form

Anson, thanks for the quick response! The form does many things... It is primarily built as a project tracker for my organization... It has many repeating sections, several person/group pickers and lots and lots of XPath expressions that pull the data from field to field. A project is initiated, routed for review and approval and then put into ...

  • Re: InfoPath 2010 Design Checker dialog box error

Ok so I just solved it... Lol!! Here's how I solved it: did a "Save As" and spun off a second copy of the form. Closed the original, opened the new one (just to be 100% certain). Now I started deleting. I deleted all the form views and then ran the design checker again. Didn't do it; then I deleted almost all of the data ...

InfoPath 2010 design checker throws the following error "Dialog box actions are not supported". • Re: Replicating a repeating table / repeating sections

Sure does, though in my 2 years working where I am I have never seen my organization purchase third party software on the recommendation of a developer. So, would be awesome, if only!

  • Replicating a repeating table / repeating sections

In an InfoPath form I have a repeating section; each repeating section houses a "line item". There is a "Sum" field that totals all the values in the line items. There are multiple "Sum" values on the form; I.E. there are multiple areas on the form that have multiple repeating sections. Modifications can be ...

  • Re: Retrieve current user name through webservice

Just a real quick message in response to this (I know this topic is over two years old...) If you have a "filler" enabled form and your users are accessing the form via a different domain (I.E. they are using a home computer to fill out a form on a corporate server) then **take note** that "userName()" will return their ...

  • Re: get field value of last row repeating table

I had my question answered in the following StackOverflow topic here Jimmy, your expression was able to bring another StackOverflow member to the answer that worked for me. Due to my limited understanding it may be that I was unable to recognize how Jimmy's original statement could have worked in another, similar situation. Either way I ...
