Hi Mark,
How about using 2 forms and deriving the 2nd one from the 1st where the prepopulated data is set to read-only?
Scenario:
1. Corporate employee #1 fills out form A and clicks submit
2. Submit saves form A to the network drive, opens form B passing it a reference (refID) to form A (more on that below), and closes form A
3. Form B's ...

Hi Ryan,
Great post!
Believe me, I know and feel your pain most deeply. We have had printing problems galore on multiple projects and in general, there is no easy way out of this problem. The support guy was right, but I would not have paid him $245. You can get the answer here for $0.
Word Print is a viable option, but it's a lot of work and ...

Hi Flores and welcome to our forum,
This is a great question. The MailEnvelope object doesn't have a property to set the message type, so I'm guessing this is not possible. Hopefully, I am wrong though.

Hi Anders,
Many features were demonstrated in a non-NDA developer conference at the end of last month. You should look at Tudor Toma's blog here:http://blogs.msdn.com/tudort/.
I haven't had time but I intend to add my notes from the Developer Conference. Tons of cool stuff coming!

Hi again,
If you can give us your exact repro steps, we can look into it. Alternately, you can send us your XSN with instructions and we can take a quick look.

InfoPath comes with 25 out-of-box samples that include lots of JS. To access the script.js files for them, start InfoPath and choose Sample Forms (under Form Categories). Select one of the forms and click Design This Form in the left taskpane. For example, Service Request. Now, click File->Extract Form Files ...

One more possibility (which also requires a little code) ...
You can define 4 other subset forms and then when they click on which version they want, set some value in a secondary data source. Based on this value, call NewFromSolution to open a subset form of the given type and load the data into the form. Then, add an Open rule (Tools->Form ...

Hi Jim Dandy,
I think there is some script code in some of the 25 sample forms that come with InfoPath which manipulate the dates. Open Meeting Agenda and extract the form files to a file. Open the script.js files and search for date functions. That's a start.

Hi Dave W and welcome to our forum!
Why doesn't filtering work on secondary data sources? It should. If I understand you correctly, you have dropdowns displaying the data from SQL that you want to use to filter the main data source data but you don't want to submit that dropdown data. That should be totally doable using rules and filters. Of ...

Hi Silverscubie,
There is a trick here. You don't have to enter the second value. :) But, that's not what you want I think. You need our XSN Deployment Tool to deploy to multiple SharePoint sites programmatically (for example, via a build script) - check out our products page. Microsoft is improving SharePoint deployment significantly 2007 with ...
