Hmmm....
This seems pretty complicated to have two forms.
A couple thoughts. You have both open concurrently you could maybe use code to pass the file name and path back to the originating form so it could be saved.
Probably easier is to just query the 2007 library with the 2003 form and use some common data to search the library, find ...

yes you need code to iterate through all of the repeating nodes.
I think Greg has some blog posts on this.

Hey Chris.
Yah IPFS reduces the email options.
You have two options in IP2007. Email attachment or the view.
Typically the attachment is not good if the users needs IPFS since it does them no good.
I typically create a special view that is taylored for the email body, usually with a hyperlink to the form.
Then when I submit I also switch to ...

Hey there.
You are in luck. There is a solution for document authoring with the worflow/ versioning etc. And since it is in InfoPath would be pretty easy to customize and tailor to your specifics.
It does require SQL but if you have SharePoint it would already have this.
Send me an email and I can get a demo setup for you.

Are you promoting the data that you need?
I would think that would make it easier to access.

The attachment is embedded in the document and there is no way to open it without opening the form.
Typically a better practices is instead of attaching it to the form just add a hyperlink to the file stored in Sharepoint. Then it can be opened directly or via a link from the form.

I am not sure I am understanding completly.
1- you know you cannot promote repeating values
2- You could create some non repeating fields that would store the count of meetings etc. Increment them when a button is checked or something.

Yes.
MS has anticipated this. In SP2007 you can create UDC's Universal Data Connections.
With 2007 you can browse and select them. You can also convert existing DC to UDCs in designer.
You could use InfoPath 2007 to create a UDC library and then update your templates to use these.
Then all forms share data connections and they can be ...

Hey Chris.
It sounds like you are living the InfoPath life, creating a great solution for your company, very inexpensivly and with out needing a developer.
The challange you will find is that the reason why enterprises have server architecture is that you need some central systems for organizing groups of people. If you only have desktops ...

Do you have any conditions on the submit action?
