You can manually fix that - it is an InfoPath bug. If you search on the message, you should find my blog post on manually fixing it up. Or you can take a look at the sample here, it uses a field w/ a calculated default: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/examples/entry41116.aspx

I'm attaching a sample form that should help you. Save locally, right click and select design, then preview to test.

So, sorry, at this point I'm a little confused. Did you try also injecting your test form w/ qRules & republishing it to see if the error reproduces in it?
-
I think the next thing I would do is take the test form and inject it with qRules - republish and see what happens when you open it in Filler - does the data connection still succeed? Be sure you update the cached template for the test form. EDITED TO ADD - what do you mean by "I get an action failed when I run it" - is that an error ...

On my Windows 10 computer, I have the DPI set to 125%, so I have to double-check forms on a computer set to 100%. Any chance that is the issue? Both computers have IE text size set to Medium?

It sounds like an issue w/ your XPath filter. If you click "Edit XPath" for the formula you are using for the value, what's the full XPath? Just paste it in a reply.
-
So - it works in preview, but when you open the published form from its published location in filler, it fails? That is odd. Does it fail in both existing and new forms? If you publish your test form and open that in filler, does it fail? What about removing the template from your cache - can you go to InfoPath Filler > New, find the form, ...
-
If you preview the form, does the query run? Is this a bowser or filler form? If you create a new form and add a data connection to the Action Tracker list, do you have any issues?
-
I think you need to use DisplayName. Does CreatedBy get populated when the form opens? Or on submit? Maybe drag the display name field onto the form and preview to see. You could also just use the userName function - and compare that to the current user.
-
So - your question doesn't have much info - I'm going to make some guesses. This InfoPath form isn't a list form? You want to delete an item in a different list? If so - you could use CAML for this and a data connection to the Lists web service. Have you tried that?
