Attach your form under the Options tab in a reply and I can take a look.

Probably need to have "current" in here - where is the calculated value displayed? If it is in a section or table bound to the main DS my:SharePointListItem_RW field, for example, the expression would be: xdXDocument:GetDOM("Contracts")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:SharePointListItem_RW/d:Contract_x0020_Number[../d:ID = ...

Can you attach some screenshots showing the issue? The options tab only lets you attach a single file - maybe paste some screenshots into a Word doc or something?

Oh good, glad that worked. Yeah, I've had a real issue w/ multi-selects and often find I can use a rule where a default won't work, esp. if this is for something where the field doesn't need to update real-time. :)

After you've selected a few, deselect one - does that cause your default to refresh? I have a terrible time w/ defaults that leverage multi-selects, I really think there is a bug in InfoPath as to the event firing when the multi-select control is used. Not that I know of - you may want to do a web search for ideas. I've seen people take different approaches, like copying forms out of a library when they reach a certain status, or manually creating a new library at the beginning of each year - what works for your process will likely have a lot to do w/ the form, the users, user expectations, ...

When you insert the radio buttons, you can pick how many you want - they are all bound to the same field tho. See attached simple sample, save the file locally, right click and select Design, then preview to try it.

The list view threshold defaults to 5k. Admins can change it. The fact that you are seeing this message when the list isn't anywhere near the threshold would be a good question to bring up with your SharePoint Admin. More info here. Adding indexes to your list and making sure the default view doesn't return all items can help with ...

Delete and re-add the section w/ your summary - There seems to be something wrong w/ it - I had the same issue trying to preview. The form is horribly slow tho - I'm guessing because of the huge data load. Not sure what to suggest on that.

Well, you could use PowerShell, sure - add the node & set the default value (looks like it has one). Easiest would be to copy the files locally, create an XSLT to update them, use PowerShell to transform & resave, then copy them back into the library.
