Hi Christiane,
You'll want to move the field outside of the signed section. If the field is in the section and you sign it, you can't change it. That is the design. Otherwise, the signature wouldn't mean anything - if people could change it after signing. You could also set the form up to do counter sign which allows signatures on top of ...

Hi Tetsu and a warm ''irrasshaimase!'' to you joining us from my favorite country - Japan!
Unfortunately, InfoPath doesn't support filtering on values in the form. We have a Web service that supports doing this (our ''Database Accelerator'') without code. The only other option is to write some code that connects to SQL directly (or write your ...

Hi ActiveT and welcome to our forum!
Does the form have a main data source derived from the Web service or is it separate from the Web service (I'm guessing the latter, but need to know). There are some tricks using eval function to concatenate strings and my guess is that you may be able to do a similar thing where you have a rule that fires at ...

Hi again,
Yes, you can update the form from the issue list. I believe Matt Faus wrote a HowTo on integration with SharePoint lists. There's also an example in my book (Chapter 9 I believe on SharePoint). You should be able to set up a rule on your submit button that requeries the SharePoint site after calling UpdateItems. Set up a SharePoint ...

Hi Monica,
Are you accessing the SharePoint site from the same domain as the SharePoint site is in or is it cross domain? Have you added the users to the SharePoint manage users permissions page?

Hi Henny,
Not sure I understand your question. You have a form and you want to display dialog boxes that prompt the user for information. After they submit and click ''OK'' on the dialog box, you'd like to have it fill in the InfoPath form with the information. Is that correct?
Why not just use a separate view in InfoPath for this? The benefits ...

Hi again,
Thanks for the clarification. What is the error you receive when submitting old forms? If you change the field back to the previous width, do the old forms work again?

Hi Mary,
Sorry for the delays in responding to you. I guess we need more information about your form. Can you send us the XSN? I'll ask one of our developers to look at it. My guess is that you may bot be setting the namespace in your code and that may be required. Your workarounds are probably not true workarounds. There are many threads that ...

Hi Deborah and welcome to our forum from Trinidad and Tobago!
Do new forms work? Unfortunately, schema changes do cause form incompatibilities. We have developed a database accelerator Web service that removes the tight coupling and lets you change the schema on either side without any problems. However, you likely just want to get yours working ...

Hi Monica and welcome to our forum!
Are you submitting your form to a database, SharePoint site, or Web service/ You'll likely need to add a button to requery the form and display any new data. That button will have to use a Retrieve Data Connection that you define against the same data source as you are submitting too.
