Sure - you need to add rules to your category field. The first rule would have the condition "Category is equal to electrical" and the action to set a field's value, assigned to, to the test "Joe Block". Repeat for the other category options. Remember that XML / XPath is case sensitive, so Electrical and electrical ...

It would help to know what the error is. Generally, I'd say no - I've not run into any limits thus far with default values, and I have had some that are very complex. Are all of your checkboxes 1/0?

Wonderful, glad you have it working! :)

Yes - that is possible. The code on your button would look something like this, based off the Test template you attached earlier:
' Get value for company to delete
Dim company As String = ...

Okay, I see what you are doing - you are using a default value, which is going to update to whatever the latest value in the secondary data source is. So - I removed that, then set this up with similar rules to the rules in my form. I should add, I'm confused by your rules on the query date field - why do you reset the field after the query?

Hey - I'm confused by this statement: I don't have access to repeating tables through browser forms
What do you mean by that? You can have repeating tables in browser forms....
PS > glad some of my posts have been helpful! I learned InfoPath on this forum from Greg Collins' posts, so it is always great to hear I've ...

I was going to suggest XML, so I am glad you took that approach! Your filter should be basically if country in the secondary data source = selected country in the main data source. Attach your form to a reply under the Options tab & I'll happily take a look at it. :)

I realized you were using a date picker - I used a dropdown because I didn't want to do anything very complex for a sample & you said you had that part working. :) I'll take a look at your form, but I'm guessing the same approach will work as I used in my sample. I think you may not have noticed the conditions on my rule on the ...

Hi - I think the rule to set the course on your repeating table may have to go on the repeating table node. See the attached simple sample - I have a rule on the main course field that will only set the first instance, then the rule on the repeating group sets the additional instances when inserted. Hope I understood correctly - save the sample ...

Oh, this is interesting - but I don't think InfoPath is going to do this. I think you will have to have multiple rules to set this field to the double eval you want, based on the selection in the dropdown. So, on the dropdown field, if the user picks DAOM, you'll have the double eval use d:DAOM in the concat piece, and if they select the ...
