Hi again,
For the rule issue,
Scott, sorry but I think I didn't respond to your first issue. Not sure why open rules don't work, but the data connection has a setting that determines whether it is called on load of the form. I think it's the last page of the wizard.
For the code sample,
We will post a HowTo on how to add an open rule do this ...

Hi Deb!
Thanks for reading our book! :) What is InformIT? Should I subscribe to that?
You can get the login alias in InfoPath 2007 using the built-in function. In InfoPath 2003 you can also get it using the Environment...Username solution described in chapter 2 of our book. Unfortunately, this doesn't work so well for extranetted users (users ...

Hi KidThnkr1 and welcome,
I see two duplicate posts from you. I'm guessing this was a mistake. If not, please don't duplicate post. I replied to the other one here:http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3714

Hi Michael,
Go to InfoPath Designer. Choose to Extract Form Files (IP 2003) or Save As Source Files (IP 2007). Specify a folder. Navigate to the folder in Windows Explorer. Right click on the schema.xsd file and choose Open in Notepad. Ctrl-A and copy the entire file. Paste into the forum chat or send us an e-mail. Thanks!

Hi Cam and welcome to our forum!
1. Sounds good to me.
2. I assume you are using InfoPath. Make sure you create a well designed data source - pay attention to both the structure as well as the data types.
3. For the weekly paperwork, yes you can lockdown Excel cells and make the spreadsheet accessible to members of that subsite.
Where to ...

You'll need to write some code. We've thought about doing this to implement a thumbprint. We have implemented for digital signature images but not for generic images. You might look at the InfoPath Team blog - they may have handled this. Bottom line, you'll have to parse the XML and look for the special image tags and then convert from Base64 to ...
