Hm, sounds complicated, and you seem fully qualified on your hunt for a workaround! I have not worked in this scenario too much and I doubt that I could offer any more advice.
Sorry and good luck! Let us now if you figure it out!

Hi Mancha,
I'm sure this is going to be very difficult. InfoPath is incredibly picky about the underlying XML files that run some of the processes. I would suggest that you start from the upgrade.xsl that InfoPath creates, and then edit this directly piecemeal until you have the complete stylesheet. There are bound to be some areas where ...

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the code snippet, I'll be sure to use this next time I have to do this. I'll also ask Greg if he wants to add a link to your blog in the article.

Hi Lou,
Sorry for the lack of response here! I would classify that as a small form. This is how I would classify the sizes:
Small: 1KB - 250KB
Medium: 251KB - 500KB
Large: 500KB - 1MB
Monsterous: >1MB
With more data connections and code your form size will increase, but images are probably what make the template size go up the fastest.

Hi Manu,
We have been struggling with this exact same problem recently. I'll post back when we figure it out. Or, if you figure it out, please let us know!

Hi Ken,
This is a big limitation in InfoPath that we have talked to the team at Microsoft about. Your best bet here is to create multiple views so that the users can page through the data entry. If you limit your views to 50-100 (or it seems like 300 in your case) fields the performance should be fine.
Hope this helps!

Hi Hans,
That code is indeed for JScript, you just need to capitalize DOM. The only way I can think of how to do this with rules is with our Active Directory web service. Assuming you have AD, you can issue a GetMyInfo call and it will download all info about the current user into a secondary DOM in your form. Once this is done, you can ...

Instead of SharePoint lists you can use document types in our wonderful product, Database Accelerator. Actually, you can use it to ''upgrade'' several of SharePoint's features. Check it out here:http://www.qdabra.com/proddetail.asp?prod=QDBXL1

Are you including all of the correct libraries? I would copy all of the using statements from the top of FormCode.cs into this other file to try and use it.
If all else fails, why can't you just use it from the FormCode.cs file? We have done some really complicated forms but the most CS files I've ever had on an InfoPath form is 2: FormCode.cs ...

Hi Simon,
Thanks for this code sample! It is especially useful since it uses the InfoPath 2007 OM, which not a lot of people have experience with (including me, sadly!)
