Hi Michael,
Why not just encode the URL in the form as a link and have them click on that? You can have a text field and bind a Hyperlink control to that and make it read-only. That will allow the user to click on it and navigate to the URL it references.

Hi Neoware,
Sorry, but this seems more like a SharePoint question than a InfoPath-SharePoint Integration question. Have you looked at the SharePoint SDK?

Thanks again Nukkumatti for the excellent post! Aside from Full Trust and potential security or hardcoding issues encoding the the LDAP string in code, I generally tell people to minimize the code in their solution since that will make them less costly to maintain longterm.

Hi Mcalicea and welcome to our forum!
Most of the time, people ask how they can set it up to have the DB automatically create the ID when an entry is added. It's probably better to have the DB do this especially if you have multiple writers since there will be some lag between submit and validation. You could have a situation where just after the ...

B2TR has numerous bugs still so I'd try on RTM if you haven't already. Additionally, try to design a new form in InfoPath 2007 with the com object. That ...

Hi M_at_S and welcome to our forum!
Why not just have some OnLoad code that calls your database and prepopulates the data based on Active Directory username or something? You can check to see if the form is new when they open it and only call the prepopulation if it is first time creation.

Hi Dean,
Export your leaf nodes (or a table) from your schema to Excel using the File->Export functionality. Save the Excel file as CSV.

Hi Dovernh and welcome to our forum!
I assume you are using the InfoPath Designer - i.e. you have chosen to import a form into InfoPath and the title of the window starts with ''(Design)''. If that is the case, you can import a Word document into the form. If there is a problem, it should be displayed as an error or a message in the taskpane, but ...

Hi Thierry,
Frank Dauche, who used to actively post in this forum, found a way to do this using the technique you describe. It was a little tricky to get the correct window handle, but so long as you have some managed code, you can access the properties for your window. I asked him to post his solution, but he got hired at Microsoft and has been ...

Hi Linus,
If you have AD, then you just need to install the service on one of your web servers where IIS and ASP.NET are already installed. Good luck!
