In the past, I've seen issues when there is a mismatch between IP and Outlook versions. I currently don't have issues w/ emailing form having a blank email body - I'm using IP 2013 & Outlook 2016 - but there may be other differences in our environments causing the issue. Since in the end the form will be a browser form, I'd go ...

Hi! Last I checked, the UserProfile service (this is SOAP) was still available in Office365 forms. Here is a pretty good blog post: http://eimagine.com/using-infopath-and-the-web-service-getuserprofilebyname/
You may have to play around a little to get the account name query parameter correct. The easiest (to me) way to do this is to add ...

Do you use this form in Filler or the Browser? I would download an existing XML file and preview the file in design mode - with your template open in InfoPath designer, under File > Advanced Options (form options) go to the Preview category. Browse to your downloaded XML file. Preview the form, then use the shortcut Ctrl + shift + O (letter O ...

I'm attaching a sample that shows a few different techniques associated with emailing - save it locally, right click and select Design to open in design mode. Hopefully it gets you pointed in the right direction. :)

Oh you bet! I've attached a zip folder with the signing cert & instructions. :)

I think the issue may just be too many interactions between fields here - I'd suggest adding a helper field that sets things instead of using defaults. So, add additional fields to your repeating data source (they don't have to show on the form) and put rules on the helper fields to set your other fields, instead of using defaults. ...

This should be fine with InfoPath and you don't have to have SharePoint. From the InfoPath Designer, under New, you can select "Database" as your starting point for your form - this will allow you to connect to your database.
Here are some links that may help ...

I would use a SharePoint Designer workflow for this. Have a field in your form called status (doesn't have to show on the form) and first time the form is submitted, set the status to "Step 1" or something. Then, in the workflow, if the status is step 1, you can email the next person w/ the link to the form. When person 2 ...

I'd actually change the form to use main data source fields & rules to then set the CAML fields prior to submit - that would give you much more control over layout and control type. I'm going to email you a sample.

It makes complete sense, actually - but I can't think of any way to do that via built in InfoPath stuff.... Even if you tricked them into clicking a URL on the form or something that would then actually open the saved form - it would open in a new tab & leave the old form sitting in the old tab.
