So this is working across all of the fields but I just realized it is not excluding weekends....any idea how to get that working in this?

Thanks appreciate you guidance as always!!

I've not used this style of calculation before, so I'm not super familiar with it - but I do know it makes use of some helper fields. You may need different helper fields for each set of calculations.

ok so one more issue with this date to hours issue. I am doing the hours between submitted and masterdata then masterdata to credit then credit to tax. i should be able to apply multiple rules to fields shouldnt i ? It seems to be duplicating the number...just want to make sure it is possible

There isn't. If you copy the view by selecting everything and pasting it into your new form, you'll have to rebind all the controls to the new form's schema. Generally it is just simpler to recreate it.

THANK YOU !!! that fixed it....i don't suppose you know a quick way to copy a view from one form to another...completely separate form....any help would be appreciated.

Sorry - I was looking for default values instead of at rules! Your XPath is incorrect. The correct condition for Rule 1 on HoursNewStatus would be: substring-before(xdDate:AddSeconds(xdDate:AddDays(../my:SubmitDate, substring-before(., ";")), 0), "T") != substring-before(../../my:Credit/my:CreditOwnerAssignedDate, "T")

I just attached it to my response but here it is again.

Do you have a copy of this form where you've tried to implement the logic you've linked to? You originally posted a screenshot that showed a rule inspector issue.

my fields are SubmitDate and CreditOwnerAssignedDate so you wont exactly see those and I am attaching my form for you as well if it lets me.
