Last » Re: instantiate the web service proxy Hi Basescu, I've never used web services this way, but I doubt you'll want to do it this way in InfoPath. Seems like it would need to be full trust. To interact with a web service in InfoPath you add it as a secondary data source, and then manipulate the queryFields node to change the values of the parameters. Once that is done you can call ... Posted to General (Forum) by Matt Faus on 04-03-2007 Re: web services + sharepoint Hi Basescu, I've never heard of a web service connection being blown away when publishing to SharePoint, but I'm not sure what the problem could be. Here are some things to try: 1. Make a sample form to make sure that the web service is returning something (maybe the call is successful, it just seems bad b/c nothing is returning) 2. Make sure ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Matt Faus on 04-03-2007 Re: Email Adapter Related Hi Anandhi, I don't think there is an event handler for this button, but depending on what you are trying to do, I think you should be able to write enough code before that happens that you won't need it. We have discussed sending e-mails programatically from within InfoPath several times on the forums, so search around for a little bit and see ... Posted to Code (Forum) by Matt Faus on 03-29-2007 Re: Submitting a part of the form Hi sriraag, Are you saying that you want to pass a piece of XML to the web service for it to handle? If so, then I'm assuming that the web service will have some kind of ''xml'' parameter and that you will be passing a fragment into this parameter. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Select Tools -> Data Connections, and then click Add. 2. ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Matt Faus on 03-29-2007 Re: Secondary Datasource problem Hi Hans, This is weird. You should make sure that one of the /myFields/queryFields is not set to something that will prevent the Employee column from being returned. I don't know what the problem is, but to help debug I'm sure it would be helpful to put every single node on the view as a field, and then watch the values as you see the problem ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Matt Faus on 03-29-2007 Re: Changing data connection Hi Dean, The only way I can think of doing this is to have two instances of the same drop-down, each populating from the different data sources, and then simply conditionally hide the one you don't want to show. Be sure to clear the entry in the drop-down whenever you switch, otherwise you might get bad input. Posted to Code (Forum) by Matt Faus on 03-28-2007 Re: Mixing Languages Hi Dean, This might be possible with a lot of fiddling, but I doubt it. If you get it to work it is likely that you will have spent less time simply converting your code. Conversion would also be a good practice to brush up on C# if you haven't done it in a while. Posted to Code (Forum) by Matt Faus on 03-28-2007 Re: swtich boards Hi Jax, I'd say go with the seperate views and then put buttons to switch between them. This will reduce clutter in the designer and therefore the editor. Also, you might want to create a simple ASPX page that creates this dashboard for you. If the forms have nothing to do with each other, then this seems like it will keep the data more pure. Is there something you're not telling us? Such as opening from within a browser? Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Matt Faus on 03-28-2007 Re: CommandBars object and ObjectWrapper Hmmm... I just thought of something - could you use reflection? I've never used reflection and I don't really know much about it, but it seems to be the way to go to get at things not normally exposed.
