Hi, meissen - oh if you are using code for this you do NOT need to submit a row at a time! Loop through your data source with the info you wish to submit, and create and append new Method nodes to your Batch. Give it a try, holler if you get stuck & need help w/ the code.

You won't want to put a main data source field in your repeating secondary data table - you should use a calculated value instead. I've updated your sample and attached it to this reply - save the linked file locally, right click and select design to open in design mode, then preview. The XPath should be: ...

Wow, I really don't know. Everyone is using the same browser? This is a filler form, right? Everyone has signed into Office 365 and clicked "remember me"?
-
Use a REST data connection maybe? No qRules needed for that, but REST allows for more complex filters.
-
So - can you paste the full XPath of an attempt at the formula in a reply? Create the formula with the filter (selecting the repeating row in List 2, select filter data, select the BU # is equal to the BU # in List 1) then select the Edit XPath checkbox and paste the result in a reply & I can probably give you a hand. :)

Worst XPath EVER. Here's from a test form I set up:xdXDocument:GetDOM("UTA_HR_UTA20-BAD")/ns1:webRowSet/ns1:data/ns1:currentRow[ns1:columnValue[number(xdXDocument:GetDOM("UTA_HR_UTA20-BAD")/ns1:webRowSet/ns1:metadata/ns1:column-definition/ns1:column-index[../ns1:column-name = "A.EMPLID"])] = ...

Oh wow. That data structure is ... ick. Can you attach a sample XML file (replace any personal data, of course) or email me one? Looking at the schema I don't see any way to association the repeating column value field back to the schema to figure out which instance you want.
-
Your XML sample does not make sense - maybe something went wrong when you pasted? So - why was the template schema changed? You can use XSLT to update the old XML to match the new schema. If you have a copy of the template prior to all the schema changes, tho, you may just want to publish it as a content type (and publish your current template as ...

Sorry for the super late reply - when you fill out a form, it is bound to the template you created it with (unless you relink it to the correct one) - so without code / qRules, there isn't a way to submit the XML as linked to a different content type. The processing instructions are added when the new XML file is created.
