oh, I was confused. For that, you should just add conditional formatting to make it read only if position() is 1. Just use xpath for the conditional expression.

Hi Steve.Custer and welcome to our forum!
If you don't know the schema, you can use Merge Forms. I recommend code. InfoPath is not a good reporting tool because of limitations in printing and performance to render long views. Hope this helps!

Hi Oz213,
Sorry for the delay. It's been busy here and I took the 19th off. Thanks for your patience! You say that the problem is that you can't sort by multiple categories. I only see one job category in the code above. Is this the code that doesn't work? This is definitely possible in InfoPath, but I'm still trying to step through the code in my ...

You can just change the schema to have a minOccurs=3 and that will limit the delete using the default widgets.
Please try that and let me know if it works.

Hi Helsie,
Do you have 2 issues? Is it just about the buttons, or do you need to also limit delete? Are the buttons more important, or were they just one way you thought of to handle the problem?
We've done what you are describing many times, so it is very possible to do this. If you'd like some quick-turnaround hands-on assistance to solve your ...

Unfortunately, InfoPath ...

I don't have the .NET permissions memorized, but I believe that any direct call to SQL from the client requires SQL Client Permissions which are not on by default for domain trust forms. My recommendation is just install the Web service trial and you can do this without writing any code. If you want to write code, try publishing the form to a ...

In InfoPath 2007, you don't need code. In the Designer, click on Tools->Submit Options. Add your submit data connection. Click Advanced and uncheck the ''Show success and failure messages''. That ought to do it, but I haven't had time to try it. Let us know if that solves your problem.
