See attached - rule is on field80

My initial reply was that you should DateDiff if you were using FormsViewer - I now see that you are just subtracting one time from the other. So - on your working hours field, you could add rules to set the total and OT based on the date. I'll modify your sample here shortly & attach.

I think you'd need to use workflow for this - I'd store the List ID of the item that has been copied as a promoted property to make that easier.

In your InfoPath form, you could show a list of the documents and then when the user selects one, use rules to populate fields in the form with the metadata from the selected document. When the user submits the form, that could create the new form. Not sure how you would do this with multiple documents and SharePoint designer.

I think it may be hard to use SharePoint designer to do this. You'd need to find a way to get the repeating data out of the XML file - if you promote repeating data as merged, you can get it into a list, but it will be semi-colon delimited and unless all the fields are required you could end up with a data mismatch. I'm also uncertain how ...

See attached. I made a change on the Submit button in the employee section guessing that is where the original submit occurs. You may need this rule elsewhere - I removed the default and am just setting Filename if it is blank. Right click the attached file, save locally, right click the local copy, select Design.

Is this a list form? If so - maybe? I don't know - I'm not sure how complicated "can't be blank" rules are in lists. But you can certainly add to the rule to include all the form types that are involved. And then set the validation rule on a helper field that has a default value of the account Id from the person / group ...

Hopefully you've found a solution to this? I think you have to intentionally set the InfoPath form web part to get the data from that list - so it seems like this is something you would change in the web part connection if you don't want this behavior....
-
I'm sorry, I'm having a hard time understanding this question. You should be able to add a submit connection to your InfoPath form to submit to a library - no need to use SharePoint Designer. Hopefully that's helpful. If not, can you provide more details about why you want to use SharePoint Designer, and what its purpose is here?

Just use a validation rule for this. Instead of marking the field as cannot be blank, add a validation rule to the field - with two conditions: if manager name is blank AND form type is vehicle registration, show the message that the field can't be blank. See attached sample, right click the linked file and save locally. Right click the ...
