Hi Kizzie,
The way I would do it would be to add a hidden field in the repeating table called number with rules on the checkbox to make the number 1 if checkbox is checked and 0 if it gets unchecked.
Then I would have 2 more hidden fields outside the repeating table one called count and one called total with the default values of each ...

They get the following error:
The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: [DB_TableName]
InfoPath cannot run the specified query
InfoPath cannot connect to the data source.
InfoPath has encountered an error. The Operation failed.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for responding. The IT administrators are currently looking at resolving this issue (but as with everything public sector, it's taking some time as it isn't a priority). Hopefully they'll identify the answer rather than fix it without really knowing what they did.
Thanks again,
Sophie

Estás utilizando un formulatio de InfoPath 2003 en SharePoint 2010? No tiene una versión más reciente de InfoPath que pueda utilizar?

Here's another option, more close to your scenario.
I have added conditional formatting on both fields.

You don't need Submit-type buttons.
Instead, use buttons that call Rules, and in your rules add actions that submit using a data connection. This gives you much more flexibility.

Can you attach the XSN? I imagine it's just some small issue with the condition, but I'd like to see how the condition is implemented.
