It happens after being published. Tried it with a blank form on a subsite just like before and the data connection was fine until published. then it truncated off the subsite.

So the site is ArkutunDagi-eMOCs? And you aren't publishing the form, or anything, just adding the data connection, closing, and re-opening. Can you try with a new blank form (if you haven't already) and see if it reoccurs?

qRules is not tracking whether items in your form have changes - thus if the submit command is set to run it will update all of them.
You could track this, though, and modify the filtered xpath to your repeating group appropriately.
That is, you could have a field in your repeating group called "changed" and if something changes in the ...

I need to strip away text from some field data and concat new data. I know how to do this in separate formulas. How would I merge these two formulas into one formula? Here are the two formulas I have
substring-after(.,"/")
concat(., "@domainname.com")
Would the innermost formula process first or vice versa? ...

I have reposted the screen shots. Yes all I am doing is saving the template then re-opening the saved template. I am betting it is a setting on the server side of InfoPath but I cannot get to that part of the company setup.

On the original view, the continue button is at the bottom of the form and when ive just put this button at the top of the page it opens at the top of the next page, so its obviously opening at the bottom of the second page because i was at the bottom of the first page when i clicked the button. can you think of any ways around this? i tried loads ...
