Hi Dave,
You could use the InfoPath library you publish the form to to handle this. You can create a special view of just the fileds you want users to see and always direct them to that view. If you want to push this data to a DIFFERENT SharePoint list you could use our qRules product to accomplish this - one of the functions is a ...

Hi Dave,
Once submitted the data is stored as an XML blob the SharePoint SQL DB and returned in columns to the library (SharePoint does this automatically). However, you don't have direct access to the data in SQL that way. You can export directly to Excel from the library (see attached screenshot) but if you have ...

See the attached modified XSN using the rules to submit, I still can't submit the form until I fix the validation error.
Unless I am misunderstanding the issue it seems like it sould be working without anything special on your part.

Hi,
For your first question take a look at this forum post: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/8261/29968.aspx#29968 You can do what you want. You may also find that haveing all the data connections be "on demand" for even new forms is ok and better performance.
As to the 2nd question - If I understand your ...

HI,
Yes, they do need to have at least read only access to the library as InfoPath will use the users domain credentials to authenticate in SharePoint.
