  • Re: DBXL Training Docuementation

Hi TolanSP and welcome to the forum, We are finishing the documentation for V2. The Getting Started document has been revised recently. We also have an Exploring Advanced Topic document that we will be releasing shortly. Thank you for your patience.
  • Re: Format Drop-Down List Box

Hi Troy0118, You may be out of luck if you want automatic formatting. You could create a string column in your Access DB that has the desired format and use that as your display field. Another option is to manually edit the xsl but I don't know if that will work. The way to try is to add the appropriate date format to another field. Extract the ...

  • Re: How to create standard XML by using InfoPath ?

Hi VS2k9 (from the future right?) and welcome to our forum! I think you may be the first person from Benin. :) Anyway, when you create a more powerful xsd using a tool like XML Spy (or notepad!) InfoPath will treat it differently, since it is ''imported''. InfoPath tries to preserve the structure. Any edit will result in a separate xsd being ...

  • Re: Accessing a particular view of a sharepoint list

Hi Greg, I don't know about MOSS 2007, but for previous versions of SharePoint and InfoPath, you could only get the default view.

  • Re: Another Signature question???

Hi Bernie, I'm sorry that I haven't had time to respond and I don't have time to think too deeply about this today, but have you considered using a different button to sign it? In other words, don't use the out-of-box digisig control. In addition to calling the Sign method (some code) this button could also change some state flag and that state ...

  • Re: Export to Excel With Access Look Up Tables

Hi Chris and welcome to our forum! Export to Excel is limited to one table or all leaf nodes. This is because Excel is a flat table and InfoPath can't map multiple tables to one spreadsheet table, even though this is quite doable with SQL database, this isn't how Excel structures the data. If you are trying to export secondary data source data, ...
  • Re: Current state of the object

Hi Alexander, Who calls this function? How about moving it to the OnLoad event handler? Sounds like it's called earlier than it should be called.

  • Re: Infopath 2003/2007 differences - DSN connection

Hi Brian, This is the first I heard about this issue. You might try making yourself a DBA or whatever and see if that changes your access. There definitely are differences between '03 and '07 but in general '07 should support '03 scenarios and it has many new features.

  • Re: Edit the digital signature link?

Hi Bernie, You'll have to extract the files and then close InfoPath. then you should be able to edit. After you have edited, make sure you right click on the manifest.xsf to open next time since the original XSN doesn't include the changes you made and you will need to republish.

  • Re: How to Calculate Balance

Hi Kathie and welcome to our forum! The sum will calculate all entries at once. If you want a running balance, you'll have to use preceding-sibling as your opening balance and subtract the current line item. Search the forum (upper right) and site (upper left) for preceding-sibling() and current() to find references to how to use those xpath ...
