What are you submitting to?
Give me more description of what you want to accomplish.
-
Typically to reset a database type form I would put in an invalid query value. Such as an id value of 99999 or something and then query the main data connection.
This resets so you can submit again.
This also allows all of the data fields to be reset in one action instead of the fields individually.

I am not sure what exactly you are asking, maybe you could give a scenario or example.
I can say that InfoPath should be able to handle any thing you need to do, how you architect it or set it up might vary, but it should be able to accomodate your requirements.

Hi Catherine.
If you go to the general tab in the configuration, turn on fail on shred error check box.
Save the configuration and then go to the document page and reshred the documents.
Then you should see the error that is occuring.
Typically it is an issue with your mapping or the setup of the table is not compatible.
It should be simple ...

I have spent my time in government and understand.
I think the lobbying and work can be worth it but it is a hard slog.
It certainly can be a challenge trying to make things work with a limited tool set.
It sounds like you just need to improve your query to also filter by the employee too.
You can do this dynamically in code to concatenate the ...

I created a similar solution, a roting form, several years ago in InfoPath.
The scenario weas efax distribution, attached to email as PDF documents.
Outlook rules would fire and the user could initiate the launch of the form, passing variables for subject, etc, and saving the attachment to disk.
The form would load the attachment, extract the ...

I would create a test view that shows all of the data or a range that is in InfoPath.
Expression boxes can be good since you can see it without formatting.
Then see is you can find the bad data. You could create a calculation field for each row that could help flush out the data field.

Hey Dean.
You could either take away write premissions, but this is difficult to set dynamically.
If you can identify the users, you could switch to a read only view on open if the user account does not match the creator.
This can be done with Qdabra's tools. Either to dynamically set permissions how you want when storing documents in a DB ...

Welcome to InfoPath!
Unfortunatly the basic database connectivity is limited. If you think you are going to really leverage InfoPath, with databases and do it right and easy for a non programmer I would recommend web services. You can learn more at www.qdabra.com.
You can not query a date range in the default connection, but can with web ...
-
Yes, you can. There are not maybe as many tools but it is possible.
The Qdabra webservices work with SQL 2000.
You can also do this in managed code in the form, but then you have the cost of developing and managing the code.
The is why I like the database accelerator package, it is generic and reusable, and can be used without any code by any ...
