Code, qRules or default data. With default data, you just include by default as many rows as you'll think you need at the max, and use a formula to set the values. I'm attaching a sample of this technique. :) Check the FormLoad rules, the default data settings (under the Data tab in the ribbon) and the rules on the "set" field.

You are adding fields to the schema for the SP group members data source? The field needs to be in the same repeating group to work correctly - if you need to save / submit this data, you'll have to copy the group members into your main data source.

Change the field to not have a default. Add a Form Load rule (under the data tab in the ribbon) to set the field to your desired default if it is blank....

I have a really vague memory of an issue with DB connections when I first updated to Windows 7 - I think it had to do with the ADO adapter. I've been searching through my email & online and can't find the KB we referenced when the issue occurred - do you have all your Windows updates installed? If you haven't already tried it, ...

Okay, so that is probably not the issue. What is your operating system? Windows 10?

In InfoPath, File>Account>About InfoPath. In Access, File>Account>About Access.

That was likely it. This could also have been done with a helper field (a field added to the data source with no control on the form) - the default value would be AttachmentField1 = AttachmentField2 and you could add rules to the helper field to take action if the result is true or false. :)
