Hi Jerry,
No native support for encryption, but it's easy enough to add some .NET code to do this assuming you have keys installed to encrypt the form (if not we could install those separately). I'm guessing it would take <40 hours to do this work. We can do some consulting for you. Let us know.

Hi Seamus,
My second suggestion of using SQL doesn't have the limitations you mention. Let me know if you want a demo. We have this working today.
The problem with rewriting the upgrade process is that it would probably not be generic. Automatic upgrade is really hard to get right.
Best!

Boy, it sure would be easier to do this in code (you would just capture the OnSaveRequest event and change the XDocument.URI?). One idea is to automatically create a new form and submit that. There is a rule action called "Open a New Form To Fill Out" but unfortunately it doesn't take XML as a parameter so you're out of ...

Hi Seamus and welcome!
I like Adam's idea. I wouldn't do the hide/show on the control, though. Rather, I'd create a separate view for each version and add an Open rule to switch the the correct view based on the version in the form. You will need to save the version in the form's XML so that subsequent saves don't auto upgrade ...

Hi Tom,
Deployment is the biggest issue. Full Trust forms need to be signed with a digital certificate or installed using an MSI. Either way costs time and possible consternation for your end users. We typically tell people not to use Full Trust except in extreme situations. 99% of our forms are not Full Trust. You don't need it.
Is the ...

Hi HockeyJac and welcome,
Unfortunately, I never got a reply from Frank and he is now a program manager at Microsoft. My recollection was that he had to write code to get the window handle for InfoPath and then using Windows GDI functions disable the cross. It's not something that we have time to investigate now for the forum, and I'm ...

Hi Thefooser1 and welcome!
Some questions first:
What other data connections do you have in the form? They may be causing problems if they require net connectivity.
Did you originally design the form when access was on a server? If so, the data connection may not be updated.
Was the form template published to a website or did you ...
