This is not ideal but should work. It is nicer to admin in AD rather than a seperate list.
In your form setup a data connection to the list.
On load the whole list will load
Then use filters on the list to get the details where username = the username for the list.
Then you have the data for your logic.

It sounds like you are tying to push data to the form.
I would typically just launch the form and then have the form pull the data from the list on open of a new form or via some other trigger at most then you only have to pass one parameter.
Is this a browser form?

Are you refering to changes to the template, the form design or layout?
Or individual documents?
You can turn versioning on for the library to track history of documents.
For the template there is not an automated process for this you would need to work with permisions and a human process.

It is hard to know without seeing your form data source and table.
Do you have some related tables? It is possible that a relationship is broken.
I would look at your main table.
Make sure it has a primary key.
Use the DBXL:DocID as the key or make sure you have a unique ID.
Just shred a couple fields initially and make sure that is working, ...

An InfoPath form can query as many sources or times as you want.
I would recommend just exporting the data from excel to SQL and if neccessary use SQL as the data store for the spreadsheet going forward.
That would reduce some complexity. I think what you want to do should be doable.

Yes this is possible, you could add a condition to your rule which checks if the value is found in the secondary data and if so update but if not would fail.
One warning, I think you are trying to create a new record based on an existing record.
Unfortunately this will not work with the basic database connectivity.
You will end up updating the ...

I am not an expert on the product to that level but images are converted to Base64.
You can use Word to print InfoPath Data, you should be able to find some examples.
One way is to house your data centrally then use Word to access that data in a template.

This would be due to the post back setting.
Why are you changing this to always?
This is going to greatly increase the traffic to the server.
There may be some issue with the communication with this particular server or how it is resolved.
-
Yes that makesa a lot of sense and I have worked with this type of form.
If I was going to design it. I would have one form. This is much simpler and all of the data is available in one form with out any more navigatio then a button click. Otherwise they have to navigate to various libraries to review.
You would detail the meeting possibly ...

Can you get the source images to use?
I would think that would be better than copy and paste from the word document, the whole copy of a copy thing.
Otherwise I think you should see equal performance as word. You can use an image control or inert an image depending on what you need.
