Why is using Qdabra Web Services out of the question? Sounds like our Active Directory Web Service (which works fine with browser forms and doesn't require code) does this perfectly. In fact we even have a free template part that works in the browser and works like the Contact Selector that only works in the rich client: ...

Stacie,
See attached, basically your scenario using a 2DS of jobs
The key is that the you need to filter the data this way:
JobName[ddl_jobno = ID]
This means that the job name shown in the text box is for the ID selected in the Main data source = the ID in the secondary data source

Hi Stacie,
I have modified the dd sample XSN to show you how to filter the data from the secondary data source. I think this is the result that you want.

Hi Stacie,
See the sample attached, look at the rule I added to the DD, it has a rule to always set the value of the textbox to the value of the DD. When you change the DD it changes the text box.
Is this what you are trying to do?

Will your scanning solution take an email? If you are using InfoPath 2007 you can email a snapshot of the form, that might be good enough for your scanning solution.
-
Would you be able to post your template so I can take a look?
-
Hi,
The snapshot function is not perfect, there are known issues with alignment and other display issues and that icon will only show if you have the form template attached to the email (which you don't want to do).
One possible workaround you could think about would be to create an e-mail view and IF there was a file attachment present you ...

Vikas,
By default InfoPath is storing the value as "True/False". Did you try that rather than Yes/No?
