Yes unfortunately the departments are hard coded. If I put them in their own list and used that list as the source for my departments multiselect box, how do I filter that out if they chose "CADLP Cadence Scheduler " class?

After clicking and clacking I'm seeing a strange behavior. When I preview the form, select a Reporting 100 class, the new dropdown box appears, but no required asterisk shows. Then when I select a value in that dropdown box, it populates the box just fine. Then when I select the drop down box again, and then select the Null blank row (no ...

 No red asterisk appears. I created an Action rule using same Condition criteria. I set it to set the value of a text box to some sample text and that isn't working for me either.

Thank you for explaining that. That does make sense. So I've modified my Xpath formula to match yours. The dropdown box is still not required for me. See attached form.
