• Re: InfoPath cannot submit form (no error)

Yes, I assigned a rule to the button to submit using a data connection. This is done in the same way as the first button, just with a different email address. Is this not how we're supposed to go about adding an action to a button? What do you mean by 'a bad submit'? There is no custom code as the forms need to be able to be maintained ...

  • InfoPath cannot submit form (no error)

I have a form which when submitted by the originiator is sent to a second user via email. This works OK but when the second user clicks a button with a rule to email it to someone else I get a 'Some rules were not applied InfoPath cannot submit the form.' The security level is set to automatically determine security level. Does anyone know ...

  • Sharing workflows between forms?

I may well be porting a lot of currently Word 2003 forms to InfoPath. Some of these will share the same workflow e.g. submit to manager if manager approves send it on to admin & update user admin notifys user of decision I'm OK with doing this in InfoPath but it will take a lot longer duplicating the same workflow for multiple ...

  • Re: Rules in web forms

Sorry, my fault, that should have been roles. Also the compatibility checker alerts me that 'The XPath function for retrieving the user's current role is not supported' in browser compatible forms.

  • Re: AutoLogin when accessing Forms Server?

There is no other content where they would need to login but even if there were caching would still create problems as our password policy mandates that all passwords change once a month so this would inevitably lead to failed logins. WikiMedia and bulletin board software such as YAF (Yet Another Forum) are capable of autologins on Windows ...

  • AutoLogin when accessing Forms Server?

Is it possible to pass across Windows login credentials automatically so users are not prompted for a login when accessing forms?

  • Re: Why not a forms reader?

Thank you Clay, that's an interesting and useful response. Do you have any advice about what the best way to secure forms would be? e.g. digital signatures or just permission restrictions or some combination of these. thanks, Mark

  • Rules in web forms

I've read that it is not possible to use rules in web forms. I currently use them to change the view depending on who is logged in (this is very useful functionality). I would like to know if there is a way to do this in the web and if not are there plans to allow rules in web forms in future releases?

  • Why not a forms reader?

HI, I'm evaluating InfoPath2007 for the organisation I work for and have a couple of questions. 1. In non-browser compatible forms the InfoPath application must be installed on the user's PC for them to open the form. This also gives them the ability to edit both the form and the accompanying XML data. A unscrupulous manager could, ...
